Break a sweat and keep in shape in our fitness room.
We want to make it easy for you to keep in shape. It doesn’t get much better than free access to the fitness room – and that is what you get while you stay at Hotel Kong Arthur. The fitness room is not the biggest of its kind, but we have still managed to squeeze all of the standard exercise equipment such as treadmills, exercise bikes, dumbbells and more in there. You’ll find the fitness room in the courtyard next to the reception. If you have trouble locating it, please don’t hesitate to ask the hosts in the reception. They are more than happy to help. Morning person or night owl? You can easily fit your training program into your schedule, since the fitness room is open both night and day.
Make the city your exercise playground
Of course, you can use the fitness room at Hotel Kong Arthur to get your daily dose of exercise. But why not think outside the box (or rather outside of the hotel) and use the city and the surroundings as an exercise playground?
The city lakes are just outside the main entrance and is a beloved place for Copenhageners to go for a run. If you happen to have a pair of training shoes in your suitcase, this is an easy way to get some exercise. You can also choose to skip out on the metro ticket and transport yourself like a true Copenhagener – on a bike. Hotel Kong Arthur rent out bikes for DKK 150 per day. If you are light on your feet, you can quickly add to your daily step count by picking the stairs instead of the hotel elevator. This way you also get to learn a bit more about the history of Hotel Kong Arthur. For example, did you know that the small wooden knobs on the main staircase’s railing stems from the hotel’s previous life as a home for young boys? The wooden knobs were installed to prevent the boys from sliding down the railing.
If you visit Hotel Kong Arthur during the summer months, you can take part in our outdoor training sessions in the courtyard. It’s a good way to start the day, while getting to stretch your body and meet the other guests. The training sessions are structured in a way so that everybody can participate.
