24.04.24 – Hotel Kong Arthur receives Tripadvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best

Hotel Kong Arthur has received Tripadvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best Award 2024 in the “sustainability” category, making Hotel Kong Arthur one of the top 1% of the best hotels in the world based on guest reviews.

Since 2016, Hotel Kong Arthur has been receiving the annual Travelers’ Choice Award from the guest review platform TripAdvisor, but this is the first time Hotel Kong Arthur has received the highest recognition and the title of Best of the Best in the sustainability category.

The title is based on a comprehensive evaluation of guest reviews, including how the guests’ rate the hotel’s sustainability efforts, as well as Tripadvisor’s own sustainability calculations over the past year. The award is given to hotels that consistently deliver excellent service, while demonstrating a lasting commitment to sustainable practices.

For over a decade, Hotel Kong Arthur has been actively working on sustainable initiatives in hotel operations, which include a range of initiatives to reduce environmental impact and promote green transformation. These initiatives include using local and organic ingredients in the New Nordic breakfast concept, supporting local suppliers with their own sustainable ambitions, energy efficiency, waste management and deliveries, water-saving fixtures, and recycling of materials.

24.04.24 – Winners of our Tripadvisor contest

Every month we draw a winner among our guests reviews on Tripadvisor. We offer a gift voucher for a hotel stay of one night for two persons including breakfast. 23.10.18 – Hotel Kong Arthur might earn a Michelin Key

Hotel Kong Arthur has secured a distinguished position as part of the Michelin Guide’s new category of recommended hotels, potentially making it a candidate for receiving a Michelin Key in 2024.

These keys are intended to acknowledge hotels that excel in surpassing guest expectations concerning their unique location, interior design, overall ambiance, and high standards of service. While the keys will be awarded for the first time in 2024, Michelin has already included 22 Danish hotels in their official guide, and Hotel Kong Arthur is among those potentially poised to receive this prestigious recognition. The ultimate outcome regarding Hotel Kong Arthur’s receipt of one of these valuable keys will be revealed in due time.

24.06.28 – Summer activities at Arthur Hotels: A Village Downtown

Arthur Hotels welcomes guests to numerous events throughout the summer season. Morning yoga sessions, Monday spa experiences, live music in the courtyard, and two guided tours with different focuses. In collaboration with “Voices of the Street,” guests are invited to join a unique city walking tour. Here, guests can meet a former homeless person and drug addict who shares their story of a life on the edge of society, focusing on significant places in Copenhagen. Guests who prefer a culinary walk can participate in a food tour that offers tasty bites of Danish history.

23.06.20 – 54 newly renovated rooms at Hotel Kong Arthur

A major renovation of over 50 rooms in the main building of Hotel Kong Arthur has reached its end. The update of the 54 rooms includes features such as herringbone parquet flooring, design icons from Danish furniture designers, and tall panels in a classic Copenhagen style, similar to the expression found in the hotel’s lobby, breakfast restaurant, and many of the other rooms.

The rooms were made available to guests on June 1st.

23.03.27 – Our latest service initiative – now you can check-in before arrival

Check in by your mobile phone at Ibsens Hotel and Hotel Kong Arthur. All guests receive an email 6 days before arrival, offering the opportunity to check in immediately – either online or by downloading the app, Aergoguest. An early check-in saves us and our guests the formalities of arrival and gives us time to welcome our guests in a better way. It’s our wish to make our guests feel even more at home and welcome – that’s what it’s about.
