You can check-in from 3 pm and check-out before 11 am. If you would like get to your room early or stay a few extra hours (until 3 pm) it is occasionally possible for a surcharge. Contact us at contact@arthurhotels.dk if you wish to arrange this or want to know more.
Parking
Parking is available in the courtyard, with entry from Nansensgade 49. From there, it’s just a short walk across the courtyard to the lobby where you can register your license plate number and pay for parking. Parking costs DKK 350 for the rest of the day + 24 hours. That means, that if you park at 2 PM on Wednesday, your ticket will be valid until Tuesday at 11.59 PM. It is not possible to reserve a parking spot. If you drive an electric vehicle, you can charge your car by one of our five charging stations at the parking lot.
Accessible accommodation
Unfortunately, we do not have great accessibility for wheelchair users since our hotel buildings are old and full of stairs. Of course we will do our very best to make your stay pleasant, if you choose to stay with us, but we generally refer to the newer hotels in the city that have easier access and more accessible rooms.
Aircondition
We don’t have air conditioning. Hotel Kong Arthur is located in historic Copenhagen buildings from the 19th century, and it’s difficult to install air conditioning without ravaging the building’s beautiful architecture. Furthermore, the energy consumption of airconditioning is a big contributor to environmental impact which we want to avoid. Please open the windows as this is most often enough to cool the room.
New Nordic Breakfast
Guests at Ibsens Hotel are offered to have breakfast at Hotel Kong Arthur which is located across the courtyard.
The breakfast buffet is inspired by the New Nordic Cuisine and composed after changing seasons, freshness, sustainability, local produce and ‘less is more’.

Price per person: DKK 250
Family offer (children up to 17 years old get half off the price when eating with two adults):
- 2 adults + 1 child: DKK 525 (normal price DKK 625)
- 2 adults + 2 child: DKK 640 (normal price DKK 750)
- 2 adults + 3 child: DKK 750 (normal price DKK 875)
You can also choose to have some baked goods and a cup of coffee in the lounge at Ibsens. If you are hungry during the day, we offer a variety of baked goods in our lobby bar, and you can enjoy lunch and dinner at La Rocca and Sticks’n’Sushi, and dinner at Pinxtos.
Paying with credit card
Most credit card issuers charge a transaction fee. The percentage currently varies between 0.80% and 6.26%. In EU countries, only credit cards issued to companies are allowed be charged a fee. We and all other merchants collect the fees for the credit card companies. When you are booking a prepaid rate at our website or a payment link, you will not be charged a credit card fee. Forgotten items
If you happen to forget something at the hotel, don’t panic. We will contact you thorugh email, where you will get to choose between picking it up at the hotel or have it sent to your home address. We will keep your items for three months. After three months, forgotten items like clothes will be gifted to a school (Kofoed’s Skole), that helps socially vulnerable people. If you forgot something but haven’t received an email, please fill out our inqury form. We might already have located your item, but need to find the right owner.
Pets
We love cats, dogs, parrots, turtles, and other pets, but for the sake of other guests who may be allergic, pets are not allowed. If you need to bring a service animal, it is possible to do so for a cleaning fee. Please contact us at contact@arthurhotels.dk to give us the needed details of your stay.
