What are the beds like at Hotel Kong Arthur?

The beds are made with two single duvets in an extra length of 220 cm to ensure a great night’s sleep.

Do the rooms have a view of the lakes?

Are there soundproofed rooms at the hotel?

The New Nordic breakfast buffet is made from local and organic ingredients with a wide selection, fresh juice, and barista-made coffee.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is from 3.00 pm, and check-out is no later than 11.00 am.

Early check-in from 12.00 pm, or late check-out until 2.00 pm can be added during booking for a one-time fee of DKK 300.

Is luggage storage available?

Yes, Hotel Kong Arthur offers free luggage storage before check-in and after check-out.

This makes it easy to explore the city without carrying your luggage.

Does Hotel Kong Arthur have air conditioning?

No, Hotel Kong Arthur does not have air conditioning. The hotel is housed in a historic 19th-century building, and installing air conditioning would compromise its architecture and character.

Danish summers are also generally mild, with only a handful of truly hot days each year, so most of our guests don’t miss it. On warmer days, Dyson fans are available in all rooms to help keep things cool, and we are always happy to help however we can.

If you need a bottle of cold water to bring to your room or to refill your water bottle, you can ask at the lobby bar. It is fully complimentary.

Is Hotel Kong Arthur family-friendly?

Hotel Kong Arthur also welcomes families.

If you’re traveling with a child under 4 years old, a crib will be set up in the room.

That said, the hotel’s atmosphere and facilities are primarily geared toward adult guests and couples.

Does Hotel Kong Arthur have an elevator?

Yes, Hotel Kong Arthur has an elevator to most floors. Some rooms can only be accessed by stairs.

The main entrance has steps leading up to the reception. If you have heavy luggage or limited mobility, we recommend using the entrance via the courtyard at Vendersgade 29, where you can access the reception via an elevator through the glass door on the right-hand side.

Please contact the hotel in advance if you have special needs.

Are pets allowed at the hotel?

No, dogs and other pets are not allowed at the hotel out of consideration for other guests who may have allergies.

Is smoking allowed at the hotel?

Hotel Kong Arthur is a non-smoking hotel. Smoking is therefore not permitted in the rooms or in the indoor common areas.

Smoking is allowed in our large courtyard. If you are unsure where you are permitted to smoke, please ask at the lobby.

Is tipping expected?

No, tipping is not expected at Hotel Kong Arthur or in Denmark in general as service is included in the price at hotels and restaurants.

That said, if you have received service you would like to reward, a small tip is always appreciated.

What type of power outlets does Denmark use?

Denmark uses Type C and Type K outlets, running on 230V. If you are traveling from outside Europe, you will likely need a travel adapter, and possibly a voltage converter for devices that don’t support 230V.
